Text Box: Throughout history, philosophers have asked deep questions about who we are and what we should do. The answers change over time, and while some directives keep coming back to us, other times see brand new answers, and a leap in the human condition.

When Abraham Lincoln proclaimed freedom for all, regardless of color, the human condition advanced. This is not to say that suffering was alleviated, but for the first time there was recognition of the equality of souls. The color of a man’s skin should not prevent him from freedom of choice.

When Mahatma Gandhi demonstrated a way to bring about change without violence, he showed that resolute determination and true love of others could lead to a better world. It is important to stand up for your rights, but it is equally as important to let others stand as well.

When Albert Einstein proclaimed that E=mc2, the application of his thoughts were turned into atomic bombs and nuclear power. He also opened the door to an understanding of quantum reality that we are only beginning to perceive. As science and knowledge progress, so does the human condition.

What will be the next breakthrough in our perception? Will it be the recognition of auras and the acceptance of ourselves as beings of energy? Will it be the revelation of undiscovered power as we learn to manipulate our universe through thought alone? Will we uncover hidden secrets that reveal the truth about the origins of life on this planet? Or will we finally be introduced to entities and a community beyond our planet earth?

We now have the potential for another leap in consciousness, another advancement of the human condition. It involves the discovery of our selves, and the recognition that the attainment of personal enlightenment is the most perfect goal. The experience of enlightenment is different for each person, and we each move through stages of growth without ever running out of places to go. Enlightenment is a continuous journey, not a finite goal.

As we approach enlightenment, we realize that our thoughts directly influence our world. What we see, what we hear, how we think and how we live are all within our control. The workings of our mind have tremendous influence on our momentary existence, and it is possible to rule your thoughts instead of having your thoughts rule you.

Recognition of feelings is important, as our intuitive capabilities have increased. In addition, telepathic capabilities have also increased, and it is possible to pick up a lot of information in a short period of time, just by feeling your way through someone’s energy field and listening very carefully to what is said and how it is said.

As we look back at the development of humanity, it becomes apparent that what we know to be true is only real until new ideas come along. While it may be difficult to imagine a breakthrough in the current state of the human condition, I believe that it is only a matter of time before we recognize that humanity has grown again.
