Text Box: The variety of life is a wondrous thing. We live through our senses, with all experiences filtered by the residue of our mind. We also live through the experiences of others, sharing their excitement and passion along with their sadness and anger. As we connect with more and more people, the vastness of life experience can unfold in a short period of time.

Over the past ten days, I have been to a funeral of an uncle and held a newborn baby in my arms. I have comforted one friend who lost her mother and said goodbye to another woman dying in the hospital. I have attended the fiftieth birthday of a long time friend and marveled at the mature beauty of his teenage daughters. I have helped one friend warm the atmosphere of her new house and consoled another who cleans out the apartment of her dying sister. The extreme contrasts of life greet me each day.

In the same period I have discovered that a friend is secretly (and happily) pregnant, while another friend landed a new job as a tow truck driver. I have spoken to a friend in Taiwan who is beginning a business venture in Viet Nam and another friend preparing for a trip to England. I listened to a presentation from an old man who spent a year alone in the forest, and discussed plans with another friend who is selling his home and moving to the country. By connecting with others it is possible to experience all aspects of a lifetime within a moment.

As we interact with people, we share our lives with them. We tell stories about our experiences and plans. We relive the episodes of our life as we relate information. We absorb information from others, reinforcing our own feelings as they speak about theirs. We also apply our own thoughts and speculation. We hold a newborn child and speculate about her future. At a funeral we may wonder who is next. No matter what the circumstance, our beliefs influence the outcome.

It is a time of change and things are happening quickly. As we participate in the story of life, synchronistic connections occur continuously. We meet new people and raise each other’s excitement. We reconnect with old friends and revive old memories. Life can become overwhelming as continuous and dramatic change affects us.

As always, the secret lies within. Once we understand birth and discovery and death and release, we can walk through life in peace. As we move towards feelings of joy and passion and excitement, others pick up on our energy. When we radiate harmonious balance, others feel it and move towards calmness.

When you are balanced it is more difficult for others to disturb you. When you are confident in yourself and your beliefs, it becomes easier to walk through life with peace within. When you look at each soul with love and are open to messages and new information, the story becomes fascinating. As we each create our own future, we can also revel in the creations of others. With passion and excitement we recreate the world.
