Text Box: Around the sacred fire there were twelve of us in a circle, drumming in harmony. The pulse of energy was incredible, and with every beat a healing sound moved through each of us. The vibration of the drums shook our bodies, and we drummed with exhilaration. The night sky above us was crystal clear, and millions of stars twinkled in time with our rhythm.

In the midst of the drumming, one of the participants called out to the rest of us. ‘Can you hear the singing?’ she asked. Though I could not, several members of the group heard the sound of a female choir chanting along with us. Others felt the presence of native spirits, drawn to our circle by the sound and energy. With our drumming efforts we were creating a vortex of energy that influenced the planet in both this dimension and others.

Our drumming circle was part of a transformational retreat weekend that I was fortunate enough to attend. As one of the facilitators, my role was to teach drumming to the group. The ease and simplicity of Harmonic Reiki Drumming allowed the group to quickly learn the skill, and within minutes all were participating. The experience helped each person shift their vibration, and the group bonded as one.

Last week I spoke with a shaman in Tennessee who also leads drum circles. Their technique is somewhat different, and they will often drum themselves into a trance. On a previous night they had also heard chanting that supported their drumming, and decided to tape their session. Strangely, the chanting voices were captured on the tape. Apparently the inter-dimensional bridge created by intense drumming allows sound to manifest where there should be none.

The question came to mind that if we can hear chanting as we drum, is there a group somewhere else that hears drumming as they chant? In inter-dimensional reality there is no time and space, and the singing that we heard could come from anywhere. In this world and others, groups are getting together to help heal themselves, the planet and the universe.

Beyond the drumming, the transformational weekend was incredible. Through fields and forest, the retreat center provided a peaceful harmonious environment. Colorful birds and butterflies abounded, and when we stopped drumming, the only sounds we heard came from nature. In those moments of bliss I realized what a wonderful perfect world we live in, and the beautiful gift that we have been given. All we have to do is be in peace, and our planet will help us stay there.
